Nestled near the source of the River Meon in Hampshire, lies one of the county's leading trout fisheries.
The four spring-fed lakes have been attracting anglers for some 30 years providing great sport in the heart of the South Downs for novices and expert anglers alike.
You can fish at Meon Springs every day of the year, other than Christmas Day with prices starting at £38.00 for a standard two fish ticket. If you don't catch your bag, we will issue you with a Fish Credit for you to use another time. Two of the lakes - Whitewool and Coombe - are catch and keep and are stocked with sizeable, good fighting rainbow with the occasional brownie.

Two other lakes are catch and release stocked mainly with brown trout. You can fish these two lakes as part of your two-fish ticket.
Our Fishing Club
If you are a regular visitor to Meon Springs then you may want to join our thriving Fly Fishing Club. It’s full of like-minded people who meet to share tips, experiences and enjoy a day’s fishing. Plus, there plenty of perks for being Members.
Whether you’re a novice angler or you’ve been fishing for years, our instructors are on hand to introduce you to this engrossing sport or help you brush up on your skills. You can choose from our ever-popular Experience Day, which will provide you with all the basics to start fly fishing safely. Or you can opt for a one-to-one session to work on particular skills.
Whether you're a competitive angler look for silverware or someone who prefers the social side of these events, we've a competition to suit all tastes.
The Lodge and tackle shop offer a home from home, with refreshments, snacks and a wood burning stove for when it’s chilly outside. Together, these facilities make an excellent fishery for people of all ages and abilities plus a top-notch corporate venue for work and play.
If you want more than day's fishing, why not enjoy a weekend break in one of our six shepherd's huts. Named after flies - Montana, Hawthorn, Mayfly, Damsel, Alder and Sedge - they're perfect for anglers and couples looking for quality time in the Hampshire countryside. What's more, if you're staying with us, your fishing is free - you just pay for the fish you keep.
If you want to come fishing simply check thecalendar, and if there are no lakes reserved, just turn up, sign in at the Lodge and go fishing. You can settle up at the end of the day. Alternatively, you can book your visit in advance using our secure online booking system.
Meon Spring Fly Fishery is located in the heart of rural Hampshire, on the headwaters of the River Meon. We’re located roughly half way between Winchester and Petersfield, near the village of West Meon. Our postcode is GU32 1HW and once you’re nearby, just look out for the brown Tourist Signs.
